I’ll be spending three days storymaking with the pupils of Amberley school in Newcastle and running workshops at The Norwood School and Elm Green school in London.

Stratford Literary Festival

I had a fabulous time at the festival and children at the workshops produced some amazing material. Hopefully you will be able to see some of it in the next edition of ShoutAbout magazine www.shoutaboutmagazine.com. In the evening I even managed to get along to the RSC’s production of Romeo and Juliet in Baghdad, which was a reworking of Shakespeare’s play in war torn Iraq. I was a bit wary when I discovered it was in Arabic with subtitles projected on to screens but it was a really powerful and totally engrossing production.

As part of the festival I shall be running a creative writing workshops at Alcester Grammar School on 1st May and at Moreton Morrell School on 2nd. I can’t wait. I had a wonderful time at last year’s festival.
