Just got back from Merseyside where I was made very welcome by Tony Higginson from Pritchards Bookshop. I did five events in two days - exhausting but great and I even managed to squeeze in a quick visit to the Anthony Gormley sculptures on Crosby beach.

I’m really looking forward to visiting Merseyside. this week. I’ll be at The Sacred Heart and Merchant Taylors Schools in Crosby on Tuesday 25th. Then at 16.00 I’ll be signing copies of Quicksilver at Pritchards Bookshop, 54 Brows Lane, Formby, Merseyside. L37 4ED so do come along if you can. Then on Wednesday 26th I’ll be spending the morning at Formby High School. Can’t wait!

Catching Up

Sorry I’m a bit behind with the journal, I got stuck in Egypt because of the Icelandic Volcano and everything has been a bit chaotic since we got back, but here’s and update on what’s been happening.

Book Two now has a title - it is to be called Serpent’s Gold.

Quicksilver got a lovely review from Toby Clements in the Telegraph “…a superbly constructed and vividly depicted tale of ley lines, ancient prophecies, interplanetary communication and a dog called Elvis.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/bookreviews/7523207/Childrens-Books-Fantasy.html

I had a great time at the Northern Ireland Drewett Book Award. There were some fantastic presentations by local schools www.nibookaward.org.uk/news.php
