Last year Scholastic asked lots of children’s authors to contribute to a collection of short stories to mark the National year of Reading and raise money for Childline. The book is called WOW! 366 because each story is just 366 words long. It’s been selected for the government’s Booked Up scheme which enables all year 7 children to choose a book from a list of twelve titles and take it home to keep.
My story was called The Great Zambini and the one that made my children laugh the most was Charlie Higson’s Freddy and the Pig.
